Hello everyone and Happy New Year!!! We have a lot to be thankful for. Our Hailey had her 9 month out of treatment MRI on Dec 13th and was all CLEAR… that was the best Christmas present ever! She will continue to have scans every 3 months for the next few years. Thank you for continuing to follow our Hailey and sorry it’s been so long since we last updated.
Hailey has been going to preschool since the end of September twice a week 3 hours a day, has made many new friends and really seems to be loving it. She has become more out going, confident and loves to make people laugh much like her big sister Hannah she loves so much. As I am writing this update she is dancing and playing her Dora Guitar singing ” I have Ants in my pants and I need to dance”. Just wanted to share a little bit of her personality!
Until next time thank you so much checking on our Hailey. Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2011!

I know it’s been way too long since I’ve updated last. We have been busy living life without chemo/ hospitals and just having fun in the sun! Hailey is doing well her appetite is back and the feeding tube was removed in the beginning of May. She just had her 3 month MRI out of treatment on Monday and it shows no evidence of disease!!! NED…..Thank GOD!!! Now I can breath again. Soon Hailey will have her Port removed and get hearing aids to help with the high frequency loss. The doctor seems to think she will only need to wear them at school for clarity in the classroom where there’s Lot’s of back ground noise. Aside from that her doctor said you would never know all that she has been through by looking at her….. what a compliment! To think back to where we were at this time last year we definitely have a lot to be thankful for!
Hailey’s Make a Wish trip to Florida was Amazing!!!!! We stayed at Give Kids The World(only for make a wish families), it was like living in an amusement park, we went from hanging out at the water park to all you can eat ice cream and many other fun activities, trust me it was hard to leave but we still managed to get out and go to Animal kingdom, Sea World, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, Adventure Land and Wet and Wild. I can go on and on about how much fun we had it was really a trip of a life time…. thank you Make a Wish and Give kids The World for all the wonderful memories.
Well that’s all for now. Hope you all have a Happy 4th of July!

Hello everyone, hope you had a wonderful Easter!
The last couple of weeks have been busy with lots of appointments. This week we only have one scheduled…gee what will we do with ourselves? Last Friday Hailey had an appointment to meet with the whole team of doctors since she has completed her treatment. It was a 4 hour long visit that went really well, the only concern right now is she needs to start eating by mouth so the tube can be removed from her nose which has been a big challenge as she is 4 and they think it is behavioral…something she knows she has control over. All in all, Hailey is doing really well and we couldn’t be happier.
We have been blessed in so many ways, ways we never dreamed of. Hailey has received a MAKE A WISH…because she was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Her wish is to go to Disneyworld and is scheduled for June 5th to the 12th. She will be there for her one year diagnoses mark (June 8th)…what better way to celebrate a huge milestone in her life!
Now that Hailey is 5 weeks out of treatment we are slowly coming out of isolation, her immune system is still weak and will be for the first 6 months so we will venture out with caution!
Hailey would like to invite everyone to walk with her May 1st for the Brain Tumor walk in San Francisco. For more info go to braintumorcommunity.org/goto/haileybeans to join her team. Also if you would like to order a t-shirt please email me at abraba1122@yahoo.com. Please show your support by passing this on and registering today!

Hello All,
Today Hailey started her 6th and last round of chemo. We’re so excited she has almost completed her 9 months of treatment and can now start recovering, rebuilding her strength, appetite and everything else that has taken a hit during this fight. We can’t wait to close this chapter in our journey.
Again THANK YOU to those who have been here for us. All the love and support we have received and all the new friends we’ve made along the way has helped us get through the toughest of times.

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve updated. December was a busy month with Hailey going in for chemo the first and last week including all the doctor appts in between. We had an awesome Christmas thanks to everyone around us. We’re so thankful for all the kindness we’ve received throughout this journey.
Hailey is doing well. She goes in for her 5th round of chemo on Monday, January 25th. Dr. Kim just informed me that her hearing has decreased a little and her kidneys still haven’t bounced back, so we’ll continue with Cisplatin at 50%. He thinks her kidneys will bounce back once she completes her treatments. All in all, Hailey has been feeling well with lots of energy!
Hailey has needed many transfusions to help her body recover from the harsh chemo treatments. For those of you who have been asking how you can help, go to your local blood bank and donate, its free and it can save a life!

Hello all,
Hailey definitely has a way of touching hearts, even those she has never met. With that said, I want to take a moment to give a special thanks to Scott Silva, MHPOA, Deputy Director Gina Antonini, and the Community Service Officers Association for coming out this past Friday(the 18th) for “Share the Spirit.” You guys are truly amazing and have given an unprecedented Christmas for us with your visit and wonderful gifts for Hailey and Hannah. We also would like to thank Santa and the Morgan Hill Boy Scouts for coming out to help celebrate this memorable day. We have been so blessed by our community, family and friends in ways we had never dreamed of. Also, another big big thanks to St. Catherines for their wonderful gifts for our family. Raymond and I are so overwhelmed by all the generosity from all of you, we can’t thank you enough!!!
Hailey, our celebrity, has made it in the Morgan Hill Times once again.
Also, other fantastic news. Hailey had her 3 month routine MRI yesterday and I’m happy to announce it’s ALL CLEAR!!! That’s definitely the best Christmas gift ever. We had two full days of tests and appointments, all to prepare Hailey for her 4th round of chemo next week. Her hearing has remained stable and her kidneys are still not working to their fullest, so that being said, Dr.Kim is only adding the Cisplatin back in at 50% for now.
Happy Holidays everyone and thanks for all the support!

Hello all,
We’re told that Hailey had some hearing loss from one of three chemo drugs and also her kidneys were working overtime, so the doc’s decided to cut out that chemo drug, Cisplatin, from her third round of chemo. She just finished her third round on Thursday and is home now doing well so far. We hope and pray this round won’t be so hard on her and that her kidneys recover. Her hearing is tested every month prior to the next chemo treatment and if there’s a change in hearing, the chemo dose is changed. The hearing loss that Hailey has is not anything to worry about for now and that is why she is tested every month to prevent any further damage.
On another note-There is an event in honor of Hailey this Sunday at Shear Color & Design in Morgan Hill. For more details please go to the fundraiser page. Thank you Shear Color & Design for your support.
Happy Holidays!!
